Any Army © 1984 Tom Ferguson
The image came from one-a-day books but is larger than usual, nearly 4'
square. I had to reinforce it, the heavy impasto at that size on
stretchers of inadequate stock.
I shot this pic as it is shelved on its side in my studio. It was
exhibited at Nexus Contemporary Art Center, Atlanta, around 1985. As Pete Seeger says, "When will we ever learn?"
