   I had been a basefall lover - formed a team when I was only 7 years - left it bitterly behind when I flunked try-outs
   when the Little League came to town.  The temptation to fall into snobbery among intellectual things toward sports etc;
   was held at bay for me by seeing baseball as metaphor for the workings out of the Universe. Another way of exalting all
   things by being open to any subject that moved me.
