I noticed a mosaic at the Carlos Museum at Emory
University and made some sketches of the pattern. I used the Mac
program Clarisworks paint to further work it out and then thought i'd
contrast a linear with a color version. Quite interesting how different
the dominant reading appears due to the color change. With the linear I
see pretty much, first, overlapping circles. The colored version is...
well, what do you think?
