key toMore play based on the idea of juxtaposing disparate objects, each bringing their implications along, meeting, maybe clashing, but producing new implications. This was in a show at the Atlanta Artworker's Coalition. I found the box of text & started arranging the letters in a sentence. It uncannily came out to make sense and to be a philosophically meaningful statement, even tho many letters were missing & I had to substitute etc; I still have the piece but I spilled the type one day & have never tried to re-assemble it. The post cards came from friends in New York when they found i'd moved south. The key came from the 1920 house we bought in Grant Park.
